Job Description: As our heavy equipment and truck mechanic, you will be responsible for managing the repair and maintenance of our fleet of trucks and equipment.
At the risk of stating the obvious, the skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

10+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience

Heavy equipment (John Deere, Komatsu, CAT)

Medium-duty Trucks (Ford & Dodge)

Class 8 trucks (Kenworth, Freightliner, Peterbilt)

Small tools
-
Welding & fabrication
-
Hydraulic and electrical system troubleshooting and repair

Independently diagnose equipment failure (familiarity with Cojali software is a plus)

Basic Computer literacy: email, printers, phones, ability to type work orders and learn our Fleet Management Software

Valid Driver’s License and class A CDL

Ability to load/unload and transport equipment

Strong work ethic

Desire to contribute to our team-oriented culture

Able to manage time efficiently

Good sense of how to prioritize repairs and maintenance work
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Project Managers to schedule repair of equipment
Research and report to Andy (owner), and Jay on equipment/tools/supplies repair & purchasing
Manage inventory and purchase shop supplies
Track and manage regular maintenance of trucks, equipment, and small tools
Create work orders and keep maintenance and repair records for work done
